Weekend Loves.

This weekend was kinda crazy..
On Friday night, Relay for life started at my school.. It went from 7:00pm to 7:00am the next morning, and I stayed up all night. It was super fun, and it helped to raise money for cancer and to honor survivors and fighters. We had so many fun activities.. like Miss Relay for Life Competition (aka Drag Queen Competition)
My friend Natalie and J.T., her boyfriend. I've known them both for forever, and it was quite disturbing seeing J.T. like this.

This was "Katy Perry". "She" gave us a free concert cause we didn't have any money to give "her". "She" sang us the song "Firework". It was a little weird. But quite funny.

More free concerts.

"Katy Perry's" crowning as Miss Queen of Relay 2011 by last year's Queen. "She" squealed at this point. And I'm quite glad that I got the face "she" made.
Now, don't think that the Jenks High School boys just dress up like girls and run around at any other school function, it really was all to a good cause. In the competition, there were two rounds and in the first round about 15 guys went around collecting money, and the five who got the most money moved on to the finals, for the dance off. All of the money that these boys collected went to Relay for Life. (See, I told you there was a good cause to the madness).
My team also enjoyed playing various games throughout the night, like catch phrase with my Yearbook teacher, Mrs. Morgan, and this game called Headbands.

Basically, you have to ask questions to guess what you are.. It was pretty hilarious.
And tonight, Whitney and I went to Kaffe Bona for coffee/dinner. I so needed a coffee date with her, cause I really missed our weekly dates. We literally spend at least an hour just talking about tattoos and coming up with tattoo ideas, and it has been decided that after graduation we are going to get mustache tattoos on our fingers. Cause we are just that cool.
My most amazing chocolate cake I had tonight. YUM.

And the most adorable Whitney. I love her sooo much.
That was pretty much my weekend! I think I should just start doing my "My week in pictures" posts.. Might be a good idea!
Goodnight everyone, and have a wonderful week!
XOXO, Abbey Elizabeth.

A hard day's night.

Right now, I really wish that I had the same carefree lifestyle as my precious kitten.
Last night, I stayed up all night to finish reading a horrible book for school, because I have a quiz today.
Quite frankly, I am just a wee bit tired. And I am definitely planning on taking a nap after school today.
And then painting some minions for Relay for Life on Friday.
Good morning. (although I would much rather be saying Goodnight)

Change of Plans.

The other night as I was sitting on the computer I thought, "man, I really have absolutely nothing to blog about. How sad." Just as a heard my mom come home from dinner with a friend, I got up to get an adorable (and tasty) baby peach pie. As I was getting the pie, my mom told me to close my eyes and hold out my hands.......
And she gave me my third Littlest Pet Shop edition Blythe! Now, these dolls can't compare with an actual full-sized Blythe, but they are super cute and perfect for little girls to play with (especially since they are worth a LOT less in monetary value). She has to be my favorite of my little Blythes, cause she has red hair. As soon as I got her out of the box, I did a quick photo shoot of Blythe with my baby pie.

This week has been kinda crazy so far.. Today I spent the day at a Mock Trial Competition, taking pictures for yearbook.. and still need to do some homework... But, I felt like blogging before it got too late.. Well, posting this blog from a previous night..
Anyways, on Saturday my dear friend from Fort Smith, Arkansas, Jordan, came into town and her mother treated us to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I hadn't seen Jordan in over a year! and I was sooo glad that we finally got to see eachother. We went to the mall after dinner, and got her a new dress (sad thing-she hasn't gotten a new dress in over a year! Fort Smith shopping sucks, supposedly), and then headed to the apple store. We both totally forgot our cameras to take pics.. and so we planned on using photobooth in the apple store to take pics.. and we did, but we were so captivated by the computers, and phones, and ipads, that we forgot to upload them! But, it was such a fun night, and I'm so glad that I finally got to see her!
What are some fun things that you did this week??

Happenings.

Just some pictures from the week.

This week, my mother dearest gave me some sweetheart hearts in a tin! Anddddd. She got me some peach Nehi when she took a little trip to Pops with her friends for lunch on Tuesday. I've also been working on a duet for the orchestra contest this weekend, and enjoying this wonderful weather! I went on a bike ride today, and stopped by our neighbor's house while the were outside playing with new puppy!
Today was a great day, and I feel like this is going to be a great year.

Happy Heart Day.

Today is Valentine's Day, obviously. And honestly, I really hate Valentine's Day. It's just kinda a pointless holiday, if you ask me. I firmly believe that we should love the people close to us every single day, not just one day a year when we buy them boxes of chocolates. Now, I'm not saying that I don't enjoy chocolates or stuff like that, but it's so much sweeter when you randomly receive a little gift from that special person in your life. But that's just how I feel about it.
Today my mom and I were pleasantly surprised when we got in the car this morning and found roses, chocolate, and cards from my dad on the dash. It kinda made me smile. Today I gave some friends Mr. Men and Little Miss Valentines.
After school, Whitney and I worked out for the first time via Just Dance 2. It is soo fun. And then we ate dinner, and went to her friend Ruth's basketball game, and I finally got to meet Ruth!! They didn't win, but they played really well. Afterwards, we drove around town, and then stopped at the new QT by my house to get some soda and ice cream.
In lieu of Valentines Day, I just happened to wear hearts.
How did you spend Valentine's Day?
Happy Heart Day!

Back to normal.

So, after two weeks of being home due to crazy snow storms, I am going back to school tomorrow. And I'm really not too happy about it. Cause I have to wake up early. And I am really not an early bird. I do mind so much the school part, but I do mind the getting up at 6 in the morning part. cause that's not fun at all. But, I'm kinda glad to be back in a more normal routine, and I can get things back in order.
It is so crazy that this summer I will most likely be taking senior pictures, and opening my etsy, and preparing for college! Time flies soo fast! But, I honestly can't wait for this last year at home, and for my new journey into college.
Well, it's a short post tonight cause I need to finish some homework, and then get to bed early enough so that I can wake up in the morning, and get to school on time.
Sweet dreams.
Love, Abbey

Cafe Sol

Every second Saturday and fourth Friday we have this thing at my church called Cafe Sol. Basically, me and my youth minister redid the kitchen in our youth complex to make it like a coffee house, and also redid the main room to include a stage. We have live music, coffee, lots of friends, and just a good time. This was the second time that we did it, and I finally took some pictures..
This is the piece of artwork that I did for the cafe, over the main seating area in the kitchen.

The highly adorable, Ryan Quinn. And can I just say that I am going to have to steal him this spring for a photo shoot?  I mean, look at the jaw line. Amazing.

Colin, my youth minister's son, who has an amazing voice, and amazing playing skills.

Kevin, who has this dreamy raspy-ish voice.

My sweet sweet Karyn

Hanna Taylor, my youth minister's daughter, whose voice is as equally amazing as her brother's

A friend of Karyn's who played for us, it was soo cool.

The dynamic duo. So good together.
Tonight was soo much fun, and such a success, just like the first time. The cafe isn't completely decorated yet, but it's getting there. Having these nights so makes me want to have my own coffee house someday. I just love it so much. And honestly, I just love making the coffee all night. It's kinda fun.
Well, that's all for tonight.
Sweet dreams everyone.

Kitten Kisses.

So, I have this precious baby. Her name is Pheobe. She is my little over one-year-old ragdoll kitten. Yes, a cat. And yes, she is my baby. Pheobe is quite interesting. She is the only cat I have ever known that has no idea how to get mad at somebody, not even at my cranky old cat, Chloe, who can be quite evil. She's probably the sweetest cat I've ever known, and even my vet said that she was rare (she is the only cat that they have ever put under anesthesia who didn't fight or get angry when the first put her under, cause supposedly cats do that??). But anyways, we got Pheobe about a year ago, on January 2, coming home from Atlanta, GA. She's really shy, but so sweet and adorable and fluffy. Yeah, reallllllllllly fluffy. And her breed, ragdoll? Best breed ever. Know where they got their name? Well, when you pick them up, they go completely, I mean COMPLETELY limp, just like a ragdoll, and Pheobe doesn't even like being held.
But the thing I love the most about Pheobe is when she gets in bed with me at night. When I go to bed, Pheobe automatically jumps up in my bed and snuggles with me. She usually curls up right next to my face so that she can lick my face. She gives me kitten kisses, and they are so sweet. I just love my baby girl.
Her favorite spot on the couch. She always looks like she's hugging the couch, and holding on for dear life. It's so cute.

She always likes to play with my knitting needles. It's so cute.
I also have some puppy loves, well, puppies that I really want some day...
I so so so so so so so want a french bull dog puppy some day! Aren't they just precious?? But, they just happen to be one of the most expensive dogs on the planet, like no joke.
So, in the mean time, I would love to get a sweet black pug puppy. I think that black pugs are so cute! And look at that little pink tongue! It is soo adorable.
Those are my animal loves, what are yours??
Xoxo, Abbey.

I love this.

After dinner tonight, my dad got out the coffee maker (which was weird, cause he only drinks coffee in the morning), and so my mom and I asked him what he was doing. He told us that he was warming up hot water so that we could make hot cocoa. Gotta love my daddy.
My daddy's "Mocha-cino" or, hot chocolate with a package of Starbucks Via coffee in it.

Such a silly daddy.

My pumpkin mocha cocoa. So good.

My daddy is so sweet.
Yesterday, we got more snow. Crazy, right? But, I'm really not one to complain. It has given me tons of time to work on projects, and be creative, and take pictures..

So many different shapes, its amazing that each one is different.

I love this one, it seems like the snowflakes are shining.

Just as I was admiring the snow, so was my sweet kitten, Chloe.

She has always loved sitting in the windows, but usually when it's not so cold, and quite sunny. So she barely stayed long enough for me to take pictures of her.
What have you been doing while you've been stuck inside?
Have a great night!
Love, Abbey Elizabeth.
